I started a casual conversation with Mr. Lee on my way to drop him off at Toyota. It was towards the end of the day and I was tired. I just wanted to get him there and head back. He started talking about his daughter Josephine, calling her his little angel. There was so much love, pride, and appreciation in his voice, which caught my attention. It turned out that he and his wife had been trying for 14 years to have a child. "The lord answered our prayers", he said. He explained, life was mono-colored and single dimensional before he met his wife. His world after marriage was multi-colored with two dimensions. After 14 years of trying, Josephine came into their life, which is full of vivid colors with three dimensions. I was really in awe after that conversation.
I reflected on what he said on my way back. Mr. Lee came back to the office after 15 minutes. I thought something was wrong with his car again. It turned out that he came back just to tell me that there is a fourth dimension--God. He asked me if I was a believer. "Not yet", I said, "You came back just to tell me this?" He nodded.
He really touched my heart.
Which world am I living in? What does it feel like to live in that world?
When is too late to believe in something, or someone?

Gosh it's been a year since the SARS break-out in Toronto. This time last year, a lot of people got sick, caught a cold. Everyone would hold their breath if the person next to them sneezed. I remember being sick and thinking I was going to die!
To think that so many things happened since a year ago. As we get older, we become more nostalgic, thinking about the good old times, hoping to relive those moments. It's so sad thinking those times are gone and we have to carry on with our lives. I would love to go back to Toronto to visit, but not to live there. I want to preserve all the best memories I had in my mind and heart.
I had the day off, caught up with friends and went shopping with mom. I ended up buying a blue shirt to fit in Blue-Shirt-Friday at work. I thought a shirt with blue stripes would do! :P I also bought an Edie Bauer travel bag. Hmm..I wonder where I will take it on my next trip?
I can't believe Alina is coming next week from Germany. Looking forward to having more hilarious and unforgettable experiences with you, mudlina!
Dreading about going to work for the next five days. Hopefully I will survive the heat. I am actually looking forward to going to Target to start my DVD collection. Instead I will have two business lunches the next two days!
Does believing in yourself is a region?

It was so surreal to see Nana waiting for me at home last Friday. One of the best things about Nana is that even though we don't talk to each other all the time, when we do meet up, we just pick up from where we left off. I just love that girl. I really missed making her laugh. She laughs sooo hard with her mouth wide-open and eyes shut tight, with no sound coming out of her! Love it!
I took Nana to Pasadena to have coffee at starbucks, since I don't drink coffee, I went for choco milk! One of Nana's best friends Jo surprised her by showing up. This girl is insane. She did ride-share with someone she doesn't even know, essentially it was hitchhiking. I told her to bring pepper spray!!
How surreal was it to go on a road trip with the girls and my family (two cars) to Palm Springs?? Most incredibly, I was driving! hehe! Oh the scenery was so gorgeous, palm trees, sunshine, panoramic snow-capped mountains...I booked an amazing hotel downtown, surrounded by palm trees and the San Jacinto mountains. 29 degrees...sizzling! Palm Springs is such a resort town. I think 95% of the population is about 65! We were there to bring down the average!! I hadn't gone clubbing for four months. Thank goodness I didn't lose my moves. The music was alright, the guys were desperate. I had fun nevertheless!!
One of the highlights was definitely photo shooting after clubbing. My dad had to call to tell us to keep our voices down!!! I will upload some pictures and you will see why! :)
Hiking in the Indian Cayons was amazing. We took four pictures for every step we took. I swear we took 16 pictures with this rock, "The RocK".
I love crazy weekend trips, the spontaneity, the thrill. I think I am making a habit out of it! :) Everyone open up your doors to me as mine is always open to you!

Californian Sun and the Snow-Capped Mountains
I wonder if people in LA notice how beautiful the mountains are. After a week of showers, the snow became really visible on top of the mountains, making a perfect panoramic shot. My favorite part of the day is driving while listening to upbeat music and singing it outloud.
I can't believe that Nana will be here on Friday!!! Jo Jo too!!!! Berpie is on her way to Bulgaria. All the best, girl! I love you so much!
It's time for me to take my job a bit more seriously, to a new level. I have to think about what it is I would like to achieve this month and how I can achieve those goals!
I LOVE planning, especially anything related to traveling. I should be a travel planner!!!! Please let me know if anyone wants to take a vacation. I promise to plan things out for ya! It's not so much planning, but really getting the best deal on things. It's such a satisfying feeling knowing that I saved $1.32 on the hotel!!! Please share the joy with me! :)
What motto do you live by? I truly believe in treat and love others the way you want to be treated and loved!

What a day!
Nana got an amazing job offer! What's even more exciting is that she will stop by in Cali to visit!!! Muah! Babe!
Bestest friend, Berpie is going to Bulgaria tomorrow!!! I am sooo excited for her. I will miss you heaps girl!!
I had a really good day at work! I am just too lazy to go out with people from work tonight. I don't know how they can do it! Finally the spring showers are over. I saw a beautiful rainbow, which reminded me of a trip that I went on this summer to Niagra Falls, where we saw many beautiful rainbows.
I am really looking forward to going to Palm Springs with my family this weekend. It's in the middle of a desert with beautiful canyons and mountains around. Most importantly, going to soak in one of those natural hot springs. Yeah baby!! If you want some sun, come on over!

Thanks to Jo Jo who walked me through setting up a blog website, where I can vent and share my feelings, thoughts, enlightments, epiphanies, up and downs with myself and friends from all over. Feel free to share your thoughts too.
It's March 1st! I have been in LA for four months. I am still learning to love this piece of spread-out land. People complain about the rain we have right now, but I don't see them appreciate the beautiful weather on a gorgeous day. People really take things and people that are close to them for granted, don't they? I know I do. I am trying to be a better daughter and a good sister. I am taking my family whom I love so dearly for granted. I had a really tough month. Let's hope the spring showers will wash away all the unpleasant things and diseases.
Cheers to March! Cheers to Spring!
Is there anyone else who thinks Adrian Brody is sexy as hell?? :)
I love you all to pieces! I can't wait to share more random crazy carol thoughts with you here at Carol's Den!
