We spent Saturday in Venice Beach in Santa Monica, walked around and shopped. Boy was I in the mood for shopping? We went hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains today, climbed up to Mount Wilson. The view was breathtaking. There was a lovely bench too!
Classic Alina Moments...
I was in the car talking to my brother and asking for directions...Alina overheard his voice and made a comment later. "Gee, your brother has a strong Chinese accent, I couldn't make out anything he was saying." "Oh sweetie, that's because he was speaking Chinese to me! Duh!"
When nature calls while you are hiking, you just have to do what you have to do--give back to mother nature. I did what I had to do. Alina, always polite, asked, "Did you have a good pee?" "Um, no Lina, when you are in nature, you just want to do things quickly. I worry about poison IVY, and snakes!"
